"Miss Melissa"
My dancing career started at the age of 7 where I attended Dance Factory in West Sacramento as part of their Dance Vision Performing Troupe, studying mainly jazz and tap. As a member of the dance company, we have had the privilege of performing multiple times at the California State Fair, as well as other local county fairs in the area, and also presented our own recital performances in the summer. In high school, I was a part of the Saint Francis Dance Company where we hosted the Winterfest Dance Concert every year in February. During my time in the company, we competed in the Spotlight Competition in Riverside where we won silver and gold awards for our group numbers. I have also been a part of many dance and theatre productions such as Best of Broadway and the Nutcracker presented by Pamela Hayes Classical Ballet Training where I studied ballet and pointe.
I am currently a student at the University of Phoenix working on my graduate degree in Accounting. I also work for the state of California. When I am not working, going to school, or dancing, I enjoy just relaxing and hanging out with my friends on my free time. I love dancing with Premiere Dance and am glad to be a part of the teaching team.
I started dance at the age of 7 training in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, modern, hip hop & pointe at Broadway Academy where I was in the Junior & Repertoire Dance Company. I was in many recitals & Broadway Productions-Best of Broadway, Hard Job Being God, performances at Atria Senior Living etc. At 9 I became a teachers assistant and have been ever since. At 12, I started teaching, having private lessons & choreographing routines for students' talent shows. My sophomore year in high school, I auditioned & joined the dance/drill team. I was on the dance/drill team for 3 years where I studied jazz, military, hip hop, character & prop routines. I received many awards at summer dance camp at Sac State, drill downs, performances at Sacramento Kings Basketball games, competitions & nationals in L.A. I would perform at basketball & football events, school rallies, elementary schools, fundraisers, competitions & nationals. My senior year, I was team officer & I would lead warm ups, review routines with the dancers, organize team bonding time, activities & fundraisers. I am currently a student at American River College where I am in the dance production group and the teachers assistant. I choreograph & teach routines & assist in any other help needed. I am currently majoring in dance. I am proud to be a teaching member at Premiere Dance. "It takes an athlete to dance but an artist to be a dancer."-Shanna La Fleur

*TIFFANY WOOD-INSTRUCTOR
"Miss Tiffany"
My dancing career began at age three; I studied ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical and pointe from Fine Arts Academy of Dance in Orange County, CA. I traveled all over CA competing from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. Our award winning competition group performed at Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, local fairs, Magic Mountain, and also auditioned for Star Search. I was humbled to study under the most prestigious instructors in North Hollywood such as LA Dance Force (The Edge), Dupree, and Tremaine's. Hollywood opened many doors for me and I was featured in commericals and movies. I broadened my education through workshops and conventions in Los Angeles and New York. I have been a choreographer since age 13 when I took my first self choreographed solo to Showstopper in Orange County; placing 1st Overall in the competition. I feel that I have been extremely fortunate for the experiences, education, people and dancers that I have encountered over the past 25 years. At age 20, I set my love of dance aside for marriage and my three wonderful children. Being with Premiere has allowed me to have it all. I love to teach, learn, perform and to dance.
